Audi R8 V12 : World’s first Diesel Supercar
Emissions are almost ZERO, thanks to the intricate X-gen clean diesel treatment relying on a 6 gallon tank of AdBlue. If we remove the stock high-revving 90 degree 4.2l V-8 gas engine from the back of R8, Audi pushes the rear firewall forward by 2 inches to create room for the V-12 TDI engine that is approx. 6.5 inches longer. The gaping NACA duct behind the passengers’ heads within the transparent polycarbonate roof is a gorgeous piece of functionality. It’s amazing what such ultra-ready torque can do to make the blood race. The first several seconds up to the speed-nanny came out to be very enlightening, during the speed test. Continue reading
